CHARACTER PITCH:
Lumine is a Traveler in both name and spirit -- she used to travel from world to world, seeking out new sights and experiences with her twin before she was separated from him by an unknown god. Awaking 500 years after this separation, Lumine sets out on a journey to search for her lost twin and uncover the answers as to what happened to her and why. Her search leads her to uncovering the mysteries and histories of the various nations and gods of the world she's trapped on, though she remains focused on finding her brother, Aether; what drama she ends up in the middle of is normally accidental or in service to her overall goal. For all her reluctance to intervene in the affairs of Teyvat for their own sake, she does care about the world she's found herself in and the people of it. Friendly, not overly serious in her average day-to-day exploration, and great with a sword, Lumine is always ready for a new experience and a new world to explore.

POWERS:
Lumine can attune to the elemental forces that exist everywhere in Teyvat and gain specific sets of powers from each. I've summarized what each elemental power grants the Traveler when they're attuned. For the sake of ease, Lumine will be able to switch between them in-game, but only after some time has passed. For the sake of... being able to describe what each elemental attunement does, the elements that are unable to be attuned to in Genshin Impact can be earned in-game. For Dendro, as the element will be released by the end of the month, I'd be interested in factoring it into her currently available powerset rather than have it earned if that's possible; though she wouldn't be able to use it until the powerset is fully revealed.

Anemo -- Wind
  • Pretty standard wind-related tricks -- pushing enemies close together for quick attacks, pushing them away, creating small tornadoes and the like. Creating updrafts for lift-off is something that's possible for those who possess Anemo visions, granting them essentially the same powers as Lumine's attunement, but she would have to work to develop such a skill.

  • Geo -- Rock
  • A more defensive elemental attunement, a Geo Traveler can create constructs of rock to attack or, more commonly, defend and explore. Examples include just calling up a slap of rock from the earth to hit people with or to give Lumine a leg up in getting stuff off the tallest shelf. She can also create shockwaves by slamming her foot on the ground, both in terms of air shockwaves and actual literal rock shockwaves. Think earth bending but it ends once your rock is out of the ground.

  • Electro -- Electricity
  • The support element, oddly enough. While imbuing her attacks with electricity, it also serves to bolster her and her allies, allowing them to attack quicker and do elementally charged attacks more often. Like she's handing out monster energy drinks to her friends, allowing them to fight fatigue and do their super special powers more often.

  • Dendro -- Plant
  • Watch this space. From leaks and limited gameplay, attuning with Dendro gives the Traveler the power to create plant-related objects that enhance the elemental reaction of the element that hits it. So fire would explode more, electricity would bounce between more targets, more enemies would be pulled in and so on.

  • She can also make a weapon in her hand disappear and then reappear on her back, and then let it disappear until she needs to call on it again, at which point it will reappear in her hands.

    QUESTIONNAIRE

What is the worst or most malicious thing your character has ever done? How do they feel about it now? Was this sort of action typical of them?
The most malicious thing Lumine has done is challenge the Harbinger 'La Signora' to a duel before the Electro Archon's throne. Done out of the desire to avenge La Signora's removal of the Ameno Archon's connection to the divine realm of Teyvat, the dual and La Signora's subsequent defeat and then death is an extreme choice to make in order to end Fatui interference in Inazuma's politics and, most likely, not the only choice to have made. Lumine refers to it as a "score to settle," and considering her general lack of bloodlust when it comes to another Harbinger who has caused her grief -- Childe -- this is pretty atypical of Lumine as a whole. She is always willing to fight for what she believes in, but going out of her way to specifically create a scenario where one of them is going to end up dead is the closest Lumine has gotten to cold-blooded murder. She absolutely feels no regrets about it, however.

What is the most altruistic or selfless thing your character has ever done? How do they feel about it now? Was this sort of action typical of them?
With Thoma about to be stripped of the physical manifestation of his asperations, the most altruistic thing Lumine has done is involve herself directly in the political quagmire that Inazuma was embroiled in. Previously she'd said that she wouldn't get involved, and that it would have to be solved without her -- only briefly sticking her toes into the conflict due to the need to find a way to meet the Electro Archon, and only to the extent to which she needed to do so in order to achieve her goals. But interfering places her directly into the conflict, and directly opposed to the Electro Archon's will. It all worked out in the end, but it does indicate how much Lumine has come to appreciate and value the lives of those she's met during her travels and those that she cares for. She feels confident in her choice, and does not regret it; it might not be the most typical thing of a woman who is so detached from the world due to her goals, but her bravery and guts cannot be denied. It was, in Lumine's opinion, the right thing to do -- if not the smartest one.

What do they desire above all else? How far would they go to accomplish their goals or fulfill those desires? Do they have lines they wouldn't cross?
Lumine wants to be reunited with her brother; that's her motivation, her main goal, her biggest desire. Everything else stems from there, and sometimes that makes her rather indifferent when it comes to the problems of the world. Save actively destroying Teyvat or other crimes against humanity, there's no real limit to what Lumine is willing to do in order to find any and all information about her missing twin. He is the most important person to her, and the fact that he's on the opposite side of a great struggle in Teyvat than she is only means her desire to find him and bring him back away from what she views as a wrong decision even greater. Aether means everything to her, and she will do nearly anything to bring him back.

    GAME DETAILS

LEGACY: Wanderer; Lumine is known as a traveler, and the Wanderer's focus on new experiences and adventuring resonates with the part of Lumine that has been travelling and exploring since she can, presumably, remember. During her time on Teyvat she's been witness to great changes in every country she's visited, learned a great many recipes for cooking and creating random alchemical items, and generally been a jack of all trades. As the protagonist in the game, it rarely leaves her as a master of none, but doubtless applying the same thing here will leave her a little short handed in some areas.
INTRODUCTORY SECT: Pleroma; While finding her twin is her main motivation, Lumine also cares for the individuals in the world she finds herself saying in for long periods of time, and does not respect any higher authority more than the common folk. Surrendering every life, across all worlds, is something she cannot stand for, and something that she wouldn't sit idly by and watch, especially after spending time getting to know and appreciate the world she's found herself in and the people from the multiverse that is at stake.
SUITABILITY: Lumine is an expert at getting involved in important things accidentally; her deep motivation to find her brother and save him (and all the worlds she's visited) will propel her deep into the plot in order to figure out what the hell is going on. She's extremely adaptable, not afraid of conflict nor battles, and more than happy to spend her days exploring and seeing what's out there. As there are people who knew her here as well, Lumine has an urge to figure out why she can't remember and re-establish the connections she once had, as well as making sure those she knows from Teyvat are doing as well as can be expected. As someone who is exceptionally resilient, comparing her to the Lumine-that-was will hardly slow her down, and she is eager to pick up from where she left off. She has no trouble squaring off mightier forces for what she believes is the right thing, and no hesitation throwing herself into the fray. Seeing her establish more connections and, in the absense of Aether even existing in this world, growing to value other things to nearly the same amount is my primary goal here; letting her organically come to love and cherish others where their absence would be a nearly-similar loss.

Specific things that I believe Lumine would be most interested in is the older, ancient Aions -- she keeps getting involved in ancient societies and history in Teyvat in search of answers as to what happened to her that doing the same here would be no different. The original Legacies also fall under this category; she's no archeologist, but it's undeniable that she has a knack for engaging with people from ancient cultures. As one does. She would also, as a damn good fighter, be more than willing to help liberate other cities from Regent control -- or at least give them an honest, open chance to pick their own destiny rather than have other people decide it for them.
